INTRODUCTION . LANDSCAPE AS MUSEUM
This semester students are working simultaneously, not unlike in a real office, in multiple projects at a diversity of scales and landscape typologies as they seek to understand and develop the role of Landscape as Museum. Investigating the nested scales within the rural, suburban and urban landscapes that form our communities students have made proposals, that address and in cases redefine, the relationships between these landscape typologies, their context and their users. The pieces part of this exhibit seek to open up a newly informed dialog about the role of these landscapes, their preservation and their re-invention.
INSTRUCTIONS, REQUIREMENTS & GRADING RUBRIC
Below is a link for the 'Open Sans' font we are to use on any posters (produced digitally) as well as our individual wall plaque describing the piece. This font is free and works for both Mac and PC platforms and it was chosen because it matches the exhibit poster and will start to create a visual uniformity across our projects.
The download should work for pc/mac both if you scroll down the page to where you can download the complete pack of 13.

WALL PLAQUES
An indesign template for the wall plaque has been emailed to all - once you have downloaded Open Sans it should show up as that font automatically. If not, must be changed to the appropriate font / sizes. The format is to stay as specified. Below a link to some examples of what type of content may form part of the plaque.
These are due Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2pm
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• Plaques shall be carefully glued onto white foam core pieces (4x6 - to be provided). A prototype will be displayed in studio today at 2:15 pm.
• The Execution and process of curation will be graded so please pay particular attention to pieces that are uniform, clear, grammatically correct, cleanly cut etc.
Things to double check:
> Is hyphenation turned off?
> Is all text the appropriate font style / size?
> Is all text aligned left and organized according to example layout?
URBAN 8x8 squares
8x8 squares shall be finalized by Wednesday beginning of class so that we can define how they will be mounted and arranged.
Remember the CAV Lab is closed this Thursday so all printing needs to be finalized before Th.
EXHIBIT GRADING RUBRIC (15 points of your total grade as per the syllabus)
To obtain all 15 points you must excel at all of the following aspects: (refer to the syllabus for details on what A,B,C,D and F stand for).
